YO YO YO.

My companion goes into the mission home today at like 4 and flies home TOMORROW. I'm going to miss this chick! This week has been sweet! Our mission President and his wife were in our area for interviews with our zone so on Tuesday, so the mission Presidents wife came out proselyting with Sister Harrison and I, which was way good. I love Sister Baker. I had my interview with President Baker on Wednesday...it's funny how different all my interviews have been. Some are more personal focused on me and my personal well being.. but this one, since I am a Sister Training Leader seemed to be more about the well being of other missionaries and the obedience of my district/zone. So that was a good, new perspective to have. This week is transfers and I am just bummed because a lot of my homies are getting transferred. Or finishing their missions. BUT, I am super stoked about my new companion Sister Johanson. We are going to have a good time together here in the News. :) The rest of the week was normal. On Wednesday night one of the members took us to the new PF changs. Which was super fun. Haven't felt that fancy in a while..OH MY HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK on Saturday i went to Poquoson to see Bill baptize his mom and niece!!!! SO COOL!!!! the gospel just spreads like wildfire! :) on a less happy note, yesterday we walked out to our car before church and our car was like all messed up inside! I guess we forgot to lock it and someone just went through all of our stuff and left our car looking like a mess! They didn't take anything as far as we know....we were like uhhhhh...........hahahah. So weird. Anyway....Have a blessed week yall!

Beautiful Newport News,  Virginia!

on Saturday, Taryn Fairchild and her hubby were sitting on a bench
enjoying their beautiful fall day and waiting for their kids to get out of a movie and
they ran on to these lovely ladies doing a 'walk and talk' in Newport News.

Just a couple of days before that, Taryn had gone to pick up the missionaries for a couple of appointments to find their missionaries were on splits and Sister Carlson was there visiting!

And so what do they do?  She takes them to Cafe Rio, of course!

Cami got to go visit Bill and Kim and get an update on them and
the progress in the church in Poquoson.  She got a pic with their cute pup!

HOLA.

This week was good! We went on exchanges with Poquoson :) :) :) Got to ride bikes which was a party! almost got hit like 3 times but its cooool.

I got to teach Bill and Kim, and Sister Fairchild came out to visit some people with us! Bill got the priesthood and is baptizing his Mom and Niece this weekend!!! SOOO excited about that! After our exchange, cute Sister Fairchild and her husband took Sister Harrison and I to Café Rio. It was good to catch up with them. THEN LIKE 3 days later, we ran into them while we were at an out door mall out contacting! Seriously the funniest thing! The rest of the week was pretty normal missionary work.

Yesterday we didn't have any meetings before church, so we decided to go stop by our investigators and less actives that we wanted to get to church, and we ended up having 6 at church! We were pretty excited about it.

This past week we set a family of 3 for a date of November 20th! BOOYAH. This is Sister Harrison and I's last full week together as companions. It has seriously gone so fast! She heads home next Tuesday but leaves me on Monday. I am going to miss her!

This Saturday I find out who will come and be my companion here in Newport news!

Also this week we have interviews with the our mission President. I always love interviews! Definitely looking forward to it.

Have a blessed week!!

Hey ya'll!

This week has been great! We have been blessed with a lot of new investigators from member referrals and it has been so much fun to teach them in members homes and really just feel the spirit.

We are reading the Book of Mormon as a mission and the past few days of reading have been in 3rd Nephi......seriously I have never even understood the importance of it in as much depth in my whole life as I do now! I don't know what it is....but I never even realized that the 12 disciples of the Americas are STINKIN NAMED in the book of Mormon. Like Wowwwww!

Lately I feel like all I do is change. All the time. Sometimes I don't even know who I am besides a disciple of Christ. which I guess is a good thing. I have recognized myself struggling with faith lately--but at the same time I feel like the only constant in my life, the only thing I can really depend on is the gospel. It never leaves, never changes...etc. I watch all of these peoples lives change around me and back home and often have the opportunity to reflect on how my life is changing. I LOVE IT but its hard.

I feel like ever since LDS General Conference last weekend, I have just had this change come over me where all I want to do is trust God. I don't want to worry about anything. I don't want to try and control anything in my life anymore. I just want him to guide me and I want to follow wherever He needs me to go. I want to be humble. I want to find gratitude in trials. I want to apply the atonement everyday, everyday, everyday. The more I do that, the more I am just happy and content. I want to be gentle and patient. I am a daughter of God...and with that being said, I say:

An orange water color texture paired with a quote by Dieter F. Uchtdorf that reads, "God didn’t design us to be sad. He created us to have joy!".

October 2015!

Got the Wedding Invite...not super happy about it but wishing them well...

Same thing happened to her Companion.  Misery loves company!

Baby Huskies!

We sent them a 'fall box'

Apparently they loved their BYU shirts the most!!! :)

We sent decorations for their apartment.  Looks like they put them to good use.

Cami's district and some of her favorite people.
She is working with so many great people as a Sister Trainer Leader.

Not really sure what is going on here...???

The girls had another fun P-day in Williamsburg

Oh no!  The sisters are in trouble!!!

YA so.....when did it become October.

Ya'll will be happy to know that I didn't get washed away in hurricane Joaquin...although, it was close. :) On Thursday we were told to be prepared to evacuate with 5 days worth of clothes, and 2 gallons of water per missionary. We went to Walmart to get water (not our brightest idea) and it was stinkin' packed! and lets just say there was NO WATER. except for that which was pouring from the sky. it seriously has been raining for like 4 or 5 days straight. And this girl doesn't even have rain boots. It has been kinda fun though and the temperature/humidity has dropped a ton so that has been great-I love the Fall here.

General Conference weekend rocked, we went to Café Rio between the Saturday sessions to get the ultimate Utah Mormon experience. Last Monday we went to Williamsburg and that was sweet!! It was like Mormon central...seriously everyone wanted to take our pictures and send them to our moms....most people don't usually know who we are so that made us feel pretty cool. :)

Also this week we had MLC. that was good. Friday was Zone meeting. Sister Harrison and I gave a training on "Faith to find through Members.." and basically the moral of that story is that everyone needs to just share their friends with the missionaries and life would be smooth sailin'! Ready, go!

Have a blessed week yall!!
